for my exhibition in Borgsjö, no 3 this summer and all during the same period of time...puh...
I will hang my artwork tomorrow, see it all of July :-)

Done with NYC for this time. Nice that I got time to stop by after the exhibition in MD. Three days with friends and work supply shopping. :-)

Long day's journey into night

It has been a long day in my studio…nothing seems to go the easy way…three exhibitions in the next three months so who said that it would be easy ha-ha…
Three cuts I got also…and it is what they say…”The first cut is the deepest”

Probably something good will come out of that to :-)

Synchronize and get the message out

Now there is some updates on my home page :-) Kind o wish for a new service that connect all the pages; Blogg, Facebook, homepage, Myspace, Twitter etc. If it also could synchronize the language it would be like a jackpot :-)
This text will be shared at Facebook so you can se my blogg and then go forward to my homepage, I skip Myspace and Twitter(for me they are no longer a priority) and of course I will link you from my homepage to the blogg... puh...and now Iám going to say the same thing in swedish..."på begäran" :-)

Nu finns det uppdateringar på min hemsida. Jag önskar det fanns en tjänst som knyter ihop alla olika sidor som blogg, Facebook, hemsida, Myspace, Twitter etc. Kunde den också med automatik ändra till rätt språk så skulle det vara en högvinst :-)
Den här texten kommer nu att delas på FB så du kan se min blogg och gå vidare till min hemsida. Jag hoppar över Myspace och Twitter, dom är inte längre prioriterade. Och såklart kommer jag länka dig från min hemsida till bloggen...puh... om det nu är den vägen du kommer in :-)

Self-possessed and the others

“Cracked surface”...”Hard weather”...”Illusion”...”Weather report”...“Out there”...”Organic chaos”...“Self-possessed”...“Girls in blue”...“Frost”...“Breathing space”...

...are all going in a big package, lots of "bubbelplast" (vet någon hur man översätter det?), to the destination Royal Oaks. Trying to follow it on the internet but it doesen´t seem to have crossed the border yet. Hoping for a safe delivery with nothing broken.

Art Gallery on the Eastern Shore of Maryland

The Gallery By the River is an extension of the Contemporary Tapestry Weaving Studio and Gallery showing work by specially invited international and national artists in the decorative arts.
Located an hour away from Annapolis and an hour and a half from Washington DC and Baltimore, the Gallery is a popular attraction for visitors crossing the Tred Avon River by the Oxford-Bellevue ferry, the oldest operating ferry in the country. Visitors traveling by car or bicycle from Easton, Oxford and St. Michaels stop by to enjoy the unusual and varied presentations of high quality work in fiber art (including wall hangings and wall tapestries), ceramic, metal sculpture, and other media. Visitors are also welcome to see the on-going work on the big vertical loom, to experience first hand the traditional technique of hand-weaving large scale tapestries, and to enjoy the hand woven tapestries of Ulrika Leander.

Back home!

Finally I´m at home again! After a much longer trip than planned. 7 days in NYC full of inspiration, new contacts, experiences and new friends. Kind of missing NYC already! If I would have known that there was going to be a volcano outbreak I would have stayed longer. Instead I was trapped in Zurich… Finally home at Sunday (left NY Wednesday).

This week I been working at the Spring Trade Fair and tonight I spend some time in my studio cleaning up the place. Somehow it always get a bit chaotic after a lot of work. All the work for my exhibition in Maryland USA is now set to go. Only two more exhibitions to make art for :-) One in May at Carina Björck Gallery and one at Naturum Borgsjö in July. Now I just have to book my trip to Chesapeake Bay :-)
